Holladay, Houston wed
Samantha Kristen Holladay of Columbia and Jonathan Drew Houston of Lexington were united in marriage on May 15, 2016 at the Julian Smith Casino overlooking Lake Olmstead in Augusta, Ga.
The Rev. Dr. W. Steve Brown officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Stanley Holladay.
The bride’s dress was a Casablanca Ivory Satin gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and chapel length train beaded and embroidered with crystal appliques. The bride carried a bouquet of pink star gazer lilies, white roses and magnolia branches.
Mrs. Casey Deer Deichman of Barnwell, longtime friend of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were: Ms. Shannon Brockwell, Mrs. Katheryn Guyton, Mrs. Amber Davidson, all friends of the bride, and Mrs. Deanna Fogle and Ms. Darcey Holladay, cousins of the bride.
Mr. Conner Tacchi, nephew of the groom, and Mr. Connor Davidson, friend of the couple, served as ring bearers.
Mr. Tom Houston served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were: Mr. Todd Brinkley, brother of the groom, and Mr. Raymond Strippy, Mr. Zachary Davidson, and Mr. Dalton Samraj, all friends of the groom.
Following the wedding a reception was held inside the historic and rustic Casino.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Holladay of Barnwell. She is a 2007 graduate of Barnwell High School and a 2012 graduate of USC Aiken. She is employed by WG Foods of Graycourt.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Houston of Aiken. He is a 2005 graduate of Aiken High School, a 2009 graduate of USC Aiken, and a 2013 graduate of Georgia Regent University with a master’s degree in business. He is employed by South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce.
Following a wedding trip to the Western Carribean Islands, the couple will reside in Lexington.
