Cayton Collins, Michael Warmbold wed
Cayton Elizabeth Collins of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Barnwell, and Michael Gustav Warmbold of Charlotte, N.C. were united in marriage on December 17, 2016 at The Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island. The Rev. Ashley R. Sanders officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride’s dress was a strapless gown of ivory taffeta. The gown incorporated pieces of the bride’s maternal grandmother’s wedding gown, which was also worn by the bride’s mother. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of hypericum cherry, white roses and greenery.
Calli Collins (sister of bride) of Charleston served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were: Amy Rossi (friend of bride) of Mt. Pleasant, Amanda Babcock (friend of bride) of Columbia, and Kristin Mabe (sister of groom) of Charlotte, N.C.
Lucan Powell (son of the best man) served as ring bearer. Chris Powell (friend of groom) of Anderson was the best man. Groomsmen were: Tyler Spitler (friend of groom) of Mooresville, N.C., Michael Gehringer (friend of groom) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Cash Collins (brother of bride) of Atlanta, Ga.
Following the wedding a reception was held at Edisto Island Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Clem and Brannon Collins of Barnwell. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Beth Foster of Edisto Island and Will and Gertrude Collins of Barnwell. She is a 2010 graduate of Clemson University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and is employed as a first grade teacher in Fort Mill.
The groom is the son of Bruce and Karen Warmbold of Charlotte, N.C. He is the grandson of the late Urban and Pearl Kyer of Corwall, Ontario, Canada and the late Bodo and Inge Warmbold of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a 2012 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is employed by Trane as a sales engineer in Charlotte, N.C.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, the couple will reside in Charlotte, N.C.
