Life Tabernacle Church, 361 Jackson St., Barnwell, holds a monthly bible study on the last Monday of each month. They will have food, fellowship and be studying the Word of God. Join them April 24 at 7 p.m. for the next meeting.
Springtown Baptist Church (3865 Underpass Road, Bamberg) will celebrate their 96th anniversary at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 16. Rev. Freddie L. Bush, pastor of Silver Springs Missionary Baptist in Williston, will be the guest speaker.
Ned Branch Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their annual choir anniversary program on Sunday, April 23 at 2:30 p.m.
Bethlehem Baptist Church in Barnwell will observe their church anniversary on April 23 at 2:30 p.m. Keynote speaker will be Joe Banks, pastor of Jordan Baptist Church, Barnwell.
Rome Baptist Church will celebrate the ninth pastoral anniversary of Rev. Sanka Davis Sr. on Sunday, April 23 at 3 p.m. Rev. Sweetwater Baptist Church (277 River Drive, Barnwell) will celebrate their 20th choir anniversary on April 29 at 3 p.m. They invite area youth choirs, male choruses and praise dance groups to come and give God praise.
Jordan Missionary Baptist Church, Williston, will celebrate their 85th Usher’s Anniversary on April 30 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. William Wilson and the Bethesda Baptist Church family, Mebane, N.C. will be the guests.
Silver Spring Missionary Baptist Church (347 Woodrow Doby Road, Williston) will have their 12th Deaconess Board Anniversary Program on Sunday, May 7 beginning at 10 a.m. with Sunday school.
Culbert Branch Missionary Baptist in Williston will celebrate their pastor’s sixth appreciation worship service on Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Douglas A. Slaughter, pastor of Second Baptist in Aiken, as guest preacher. This will be a casual event, so wear blue jeans and a white top. Dinner will follow.
Health & Wellness 5K
Second Baptist Church’s Seeds of Health and Wellness will sponsor a 5K Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, April 22. For more information, call (803) 259-7316.

100 Men in Black/100 Women in White

Bethlehem Baptist Union
Bethlehem Baptist Union session will be held at the Bethlehem Baptist Union Building (5556 Carolina Highway, Denmark) on Saturday, April 29 beginning at 8:30 am with intercessory prayer. The educational period will begin at 10 a.m. Presenters for the Educational Period will be Deacon Lenon Brooker and Minister Dawan Smith who will present information about the PAXEN program.
Jordan Missionary Baptist Church, Williston, will hold the annual Women’s Brunch on May 6 at 11 a.m. Rev. Regina Herrin, associate minister of Reedy Branch Baptist Church, Ward, will be guest speaker.
Mothers Arise Workshop
Mt. Everest Worship Center hosts Mothers Arise Workshop on Saturday, May 13 at the Barnwell County Library’s Community Room. Workshop time is from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. This workshop is for mothers with minor children from toddlers to teenagers who may feel frustrated and uncertain at times while raising their children. It is designed to encourage and uplift mothers while providing insightful information to help in the process. There will be various workshop topics, giveaways, lunch, and door prizes. The event is free to the public but seating is limited. Registration is required by calling 803-450-0163.
