Anniversary Services

Seven Pines Baptist Church (14957 Dunbarton Boulevard, Snelling) will conclude its spring revival with evangelists Scott and Lorraine Saxton on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 p.m.

Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church (1198 S. Charleston Avenue, Fairfax) will celebrate their 140th anniversary on May 16-18 at 7 p.m. nightly. They will conclude on Sunday, May 21 at 11 a.m.

Silver Spring Missionary Baptist Church (347 Woodrow Doby Road, Williston) will have their 70th Usher Board Anniversary Program on Sunday, May 21 beginning at 10 a.m. with Sunday school.

Thankful Grove Young Adult Choir (1810 Old Barnwell Road, Williston) will celebrate their 15th Choir Anniversary on Sunday, May 21 at 3 p.m.

St. Peter Male Chorus Anniversary Sunday will be Sunday, May 21 at 3 p.m. at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church (Hwy. 37, Elko).

Ned Branch Missionary Baptist Church Male Chorus will celebrate their 4th anniversary on Saturday, May 27 at 3 p.m. at the church (187 Ned Branch Ave., Barnwell).

St. Mary Baptist Church (474 Hwy. 125, Martin) will hold its 91st Ushers’ Anniversary program on May 28 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Henry Ingram, pastor of Hazel Grove Baptist in Beech Island. For more info, call (803) 584-4254.

Thankful Grove Usher’s Ministry (1810 Old Barnwell Road, Williston) will celebrate their 91st Usher’s Anniversary on Sunday, May 28 beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by church service at 11 a.m. They are asking the Usher’s Ministries from other churches to render a selection or speaker.

Mt. Sinai Baptist Church’s 120th anniversary will be celebrated June 4 at 10 a.m. The Mistress of Ceremonies will be Sister Priscilla Brodus. Sermon will be by Rev. Joe Williams, pastor of Frost Branch Baptist Church in Williston.

Jordan Missionary Baptist Church, Williston, will honor their pastor, Rev. Darrell Blocker, and Elite Lady Cynthia Blocker on their 6th Pastoral Anniversary on June 4 at 3 p.m. Rev. Women’s Programs

Macedonia Baptist Church (3572 Dexter Street, Blackville) will have their annual Woman’s Day Program on Sunday, May 21 at 11 a.m. Speaker will be Dr. Stacey Lee, daughter of the house at Beulah Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga.

Revival Services

Brown Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 70, Barnwell, will have its Annual Spring Revival May 9-11 at 7 p.m. nightly. Revivalists for the three nights will be Rev. Evert Comer, pastor of Springtown Missionary Baptist Church of Denmark, Rev. Sarah Perkins, pastor of Rosemary Baptist Church, Barnwell, and Rev. Tommy Doe, pastor of St. John Holiness Church, Allendale.

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church (5032 Fellowship Road, Williston) will hold their annual youth revival beginning Tuesday, May 16 and continuing through Thursday, May 18 at 7 p.m. nightly. Speakers will be: Rev. Warren Murdock on Tuesday, Rev. Joseph Williams on Wednesday and Rev. Allen Keitt on Thursday.

Workshop for Mothers

Mt. Everest Worship Center will host Mothers Arise Workshop on Saturday, May 13 at the Barnwell County Library’s Community Room. Workshop time is from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. This workshop is for mothers with minor children from toddlers to teenagers who may feel frustrated and uncertain at times while raising their children. It is designed to encourage and uplift mothers while providing insightful information to help in the process. There will be various workshop topics, giveaways, lunch, and door prizes. The event is free but seating is limited. Registration is required by calling 803-450-0163.

Mother’s Day Appreciation

St. Mary Baptist Church (474 Hwy. 125, Martin) will hold its Mother’s Day celebration on May 14 at 11 a.m. Minister Chasity R. Meyer of Revelation Ministries will be the guest speaker. For more info, call (803) 584-4254.
