New Church

Christ Community Church, a new Presbyterian Church of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, is being formed in Barnwell County. They invite all to join them on Sunday mornings at the Barnwell County Family YMCA at 9:30 a.m. for Bible study and 10:30 a.m. for worship. For more information, call (803) 259-5653.

Anniversary Services

Ned Branch Missionary Baptist Church Male Chorus will celebrate their 4th anniversary on Saturday, May 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the church (187 Ned Branch Ave., Barnwell).

Born Again Church will celebrate its anniversary on Saturday, May 27 at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Elder Charles Scott from Atlanta, Ga. and guest singers, Move of Faith praise team and Daughters of the King singers. The celebration continues Sunday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m. with Sunday school and morning worship at 11 a.m. with Elder Allen Sutton of New Beginnings Christian Center in Laurinburg, N.C. as guest speaker.

St. Mary Baptist Church (474 Hwy. 125, Martin) will hold its 91st Ushers’ Anniversary program on May 28 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Henry Ingram, pastor of Hazel Grove Baptist in Beech Island. For more info, call (803) 584-4254.

Thankful Grove Usher’s Ministry (1810 Old Barnwell Road, Williston) will celebrate their 91st Usher’s Anniversary on Sunday, May 28 beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by church service at 11 a.m. They are asking the Usher’s Ministries from other churches to render a selection or speaker.

Mt. Sinai Baptist Church’s 120th anniversary will be celebrated June 4 at 10 a.m. The Mistress of Ceremonies will be Sister Priscilla Brodus. Sermon will be by Rev. Joe Williams, pastor of Frost Branch Baptist Church in Williston.

Jordan Missionary Baptist Church, Williston, will honor their pastor, Rev. Darrell Blocker, and Elite Lady Cynthia Blocker on their 6th Pastoral Anniversary on June 4 at 3 p.m. Rev. Miss SC Speaking

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church (5032 Fellowship Road, Williston) welcomes Miss South Carolina 2017 Megan Gordon will be the guest speaker at the Ebenezer on Sunday, May 28. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30 a.m. Miss Gordon is a 2012 alumni of North Augusta High School and was crowned Miss South Carolina on November 19. Miss Gordon’s main message and words of advice are to simply “have faith, work hard and always remain true to yourself; everything else will fall into place.”

50+ Prom

The Health and Wellness Ministry of Runs Missionary Baptist Church is having 50+ Prom on Friday, May 26 from 6-10 p.m. at Thankful Baptist Church’s Old Town Outreach Community Center (302-B Walker St., Augusta, Ga.). Donations can be made at the door, but please contact one of the contacts. Entertainment provided by Preston Weston live band. Refreshments will be provided.

Vacation Bible School

Friendship Baptist Church, Barnwell, will have Vacation Bible School May 28 through June 1. The theme is “Galactic Starveyors” (focus Bible verses Colossians 1:15-16). Classes will range from the nursery to adults. Supper will be served 5:30 p.m. each evening. Assembly will begin at 6 p.m. and classes will be immediately following assembly.
