The 4th annual Pastoral Appreciation Day honoring Rev. Phillip Thomas and first lady Sondra Thomas will be held at Second Baptist Church in Barnwell on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Clarence Hill, pastor of Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church in North Augusta.

Runs Missionary Baptist Church (717 Williston Rd., Beech Island) cordially invites you to Rev. Stevie Berry's 4th Pastor Anniversary on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 8 a.m. Rev. F. C. Henderson of Poplar Baptist Church, Appling, Ga., will be the guest speaker. 

Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Gospel Choir will celebrate their 31st Choir Anniversary Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m.

The Greater Sweet Branch Baptist Church Women's Ministry and Program/Planning Committee will be traveling to Orlando, Fla., on March 21 - March 23, 2014, to visit the Holy Land. The total cost per person is $300. This price includes hotel, and transportation/admission to the Holy Land. Shrub Branch Baptist Church, Blackville, will have a Martin Luther King Day program Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. Pastor McKinley Neal will be the speaker.

Voice of the Unborn is having a "Calling America to the Repentance" rally Jan. 21 at noon in the South Carolina Statehouse in Columbia. Angel Wings Food Bank (150 Charles St., Barnwell - behind Greater Faith Ministries) will have a "Food Giveaway" Saturday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. Anyone in the community and surrounding area that is in need of food is welcome.
