New Home Missionary Baptist Church (Red Oak Community) will honor their pastor, Harris T. Barker, for his 11th anniversary on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 3 p.m. Pastor Bennie Wiggins Jr. will be the speaker.

The 4th annual Pastoral Appreciation Day honoring Rev. Phillip Thomas and first lady Sondra Thomas will be held at Second Baptist Church in Barnwell on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Clarence Hill, pastor of Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church in North Augusta.

Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Gospel Choir will celebrate their 31st Choir Anniversary Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m.

The Greater Sweet Branch Baptist Church Women's Ministry and Program/Planning Committee will be traveling to Orlando, Fla., on March 21 - March 23, 2014, to visit the Holy Land. The total cost per person is $300. This price includes hotel, and transportation/admission to the Holy Land. Shrub Branch Baptist Church, Blackville, will have a Martin Luther King Day program Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. Pastor McKinley Neal will be the speaker.

Voice of the Unborn is having a "Calling America to the Repentance" rally Jan. 21 at noon in the South Carolina Statehouse in Columbia.
