New Home Baptist Church will have its 10th Pastor Appreciation Day Sunday Jan. 13, at 3 p.m. Speaker will be Minister Lewis H. Nelson Jr. Pastor is Harris T. Barker.

Barnwell Presbyterian Church will host Dr. Mary Thornley, president of Trident Technical College in Charleston, Sunday, Jan. 13, for a lecture. The topic is "Make No Excuses." The event will begin with worship at 10:30 a.m. A lunch will be served.

Young Rosemary Baptist Church (Williston) ladies of elegance will honor first lady Doris Young Saturday, Jan. 19, at 4 p.m.,. A special message will be delievered by Rev. Bethenia Williamson. Pastor is Phinice Young

Second Baptist Church (Barnwell) will hold its third Pastoral Appreciation Day honoring Pastor Rev. Phillip Thomas and first lady Sondra Thomas Sunday, Jan. 20, at 2:30 p.m. Guest Speaker will be Rev. Johnnie Goodwin.

Lower Counties Ministries Coalition will hold its January Praise and Worship service with Faith on High Apostolic Faith Church, 919 Hampton St., Aiken, at 6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27.

The Holyghost Headquarters (Blackville) will host the 17th anniversary of The Traveling Stars Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26 - 27. Saturday's show will be at 5 p.m. and Sunday's at 4 p.m. Featured groups include J.C. Hopkins and the Hopkins Brothers, Lil T and the Jamison Singers, Gospel Tone of Williston and others.

Simpson United Methodist Church (Allendale) will host The Simpson Gospel Choir for its 37th Choir Anniversary Sunday, Jan. 27, at 3:00 p.m.
