Williston Presbyterian Church will hold its second annual Lenten Evening Music and Prayer services, titled "Journeying Together to the Cross," Wednesday, Feb. 13. The Journey continues with "The Middle of the Road" Wednesday, February 27. And Wednesday, March 13, it will be "Approaching the End" of the lent. All of these music and prayer services are at 6:30 p.m.

Participants are being sought for a six-week series of workshops called Better Choices, Better Health, which will be held every Tuesday between March 5 and April 9 at 10 a.m. at the Blackville Community Center. Members of churches and organizations are especially being targeted. The program was developed by Stanford University to help people manage chronic health conditions, such as arthritis and heart disease. Second Baptist Church (Barnwell) will have its youth revival Tuesday, March 12, thru Thursday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. each night. Elder Bobby Dukes will be the revivalist Tuesday night. Rev. Bruce Bias will speak Wednesday night, Rev. Allen Keitt will speak Thursday night.

The Culinary Arts Department of Greater Faith Ministries (179 Calhoun St., Barnwell) will have a Fellowship dinner Wednesday, March 13, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join for a free meal and fellowship.

Silver Spring Missionary Baptist Church (Williston) will have its 24th Pastoral Anniversary for Rev. Freddie L. Bush and First Lady Mary Bush on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 4:00 pm. Rev. J. B. Moody, pastor of Union Baptist Church in Williston and Doe Baptist Church in Martin, is the guest speaker.

Macedonia Baptist Church will have its 147th church anniversary from March 10 thru 17. There will be a service Sunday March 10 at 6 p.m. and March 11 thru 15 at 7 p.m. nightly. There will be a service Sunday, March 17 at 11 a.m.

Sweetwater Missionary Baptist Church will have a pre-Easter program Sunday, March 17, at 10 a.m. during Sunday school.

New Hope United Methodist Church (Allendale) will have a Rainbow of Family and Friends rally at Sunday, March 17, at 3 p.m. Colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church (Blackville) will host the 2013 McCreary Family Spiritual Explosion Sunday, March 17, at 3 p.m.

Rosemary Baptist Church (Barnwell) will have its Family and Friends Day Sunday, March 17, at 11 a.m. Dinner will be served.

New Testament Baptist Church (Reynolds Road) is having a tent revival March 17 thru 22 at 7 p.m. nightly.

True Vine Ministries (1140 Ellenton Street, Barnwell) will have a revival March 17 thru 19. Sunday at 6 p.m., and Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. Guest Speaker is Rev. Roger Knight.

Faith on High Church (919 Hampton Ave., Aiken) will have its first lady appreciation day March 17 at 6 p.m. First Lady is Mother Catherine W. Burckhalter.

Hutto Chapel Baptist Church will have a spring Revival March 20 thru 22. Guest speakers are Rev. Eugene Keitt, and Rev. Harold Sheperd.

Hagood Avenue Baptist Church will hold its annual Passion Play Friday, March 22, thru Sunday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. each night. No tickets are required, though seating is on a first come basis.

Angel Wings Food Bank will have a "Food Giveaway" Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. until noon. Anyone in the community in need of food is welcome to come.

Simpson United Methodist Church (Allendale) will hold its 140th Church Anniversary Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Ronald West of Happy Home Baptist Church.

Canaan Fair C.M.E. Church (506 Harley Road, Williston) will have its 100 Men in Black and 100 Women in White program Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. Speaker is Rev. John D. Holston of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church

The Community Stations of the Cross will begin Friday, March 29, at 6 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Apostles.

Born Again Church will have its Easter Service March 31 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker is Elder Allen Sutton of Fayetteville, N.C.

First Baptist Church (Allendale) will have Hog Heaven Sunday, April 7, at 11 a.m. Bring your bike and come out to enjoy food and worship. Meet at the Hardee's parking lot at 10:35 a.m. for an escorted ride to the church.

Rosemary Baptist Church will have its spring Revival Tuesday, April 16, thru Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m. each night. Tuesday night's speaker will be Rev. Anthony Moore. Wednesday night will be Rev. Bennie Everett III. Thursday's will be Rev. Warren Butterfield.

Runs Missionary Baptist Church (717 Williston Road, Beech Island) will hold its 142nd Church Anniversary Sunday, May 5, at 8 a.m. Rev. Reginald Sharpe, of Lithonia, Ga., a Student Chaplain with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes - Inner-City Atlanta Ministry, which serves the Morehouse and Clark Atlanta football teams, and chapel assistant at the MLK International Chapel, is the guest minister.
