‘Thy Kingdom come'
Faith is my privilege to embrace the divine mystery that is beyond my understanding and experience.
My heart will lead me where my logic dare not go, but often my mind is offended and paranoid about being deceived by the things I can't explain. It is one thing to obey God when He gives me understanding about a matter, but quite another to obey while facing questions and circumstances that seem to contradict what I do understand. My challenge then becomes to bring my lifestyle up to the standard of God's Word and not bring it down to my level of experience.
When I hid Easter eggs for my 2-year-old son to find, I would put the eggs on the ground and as they grew older I would made it more difficult to find, but never impossible to find. I delighted in my child's curiosity and delighted to see him enjoy the process of discovering the hidden objects. Father God hides things for us but not from us. Matt. 7:7...seek and you shall find...
Proverbs 25:2 says "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; but the glory of kings is to search out a matter." Now, don't forget that Rev. 1:6 states that I am a king and priest to my God. My priestly ministry is my worship and my intercession for those around me before Him. My kingly ministry is to reign and rule in life as I lead and govern those around me. It is my inheritance to seek him for answers to the dilemmas of the world around me. Matthew 13:11 tells me that He has granted me, the righteous, the privilege and responsibility to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven but He has not granted this privilege and responsibility to the unrighteous. The hidden things are placed in waiting for the believer to discover. This may help you understand the futility of unrighteous people attempting to govern.
It is hard for me to imagine the Church bringing answers to the issues of life when much of its eschatology anticipates the world conditions getting worse and worse and darkness is the signal for Christ's return. That creates a conflict that causes one to not invade, transform, and reform the world system. The result is trying to get as many converts as we possibly can, but seeking to bring answers to the dilemmas of the world around us is not a priority.
I am about ‘Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.' My commission is clear - to disciple nations. My nation, state, county, city is looking for someone who can bring answers to the issues facing them today. When that happens, they will inquire and embrace the answers that I have facing their eternity.
The ‘Biblical Great Adventure of Spirit led Faith' draws me beyond the boundaries of denominational history and attempt something considered impossible by my contemporaries. I will be pure but I will be relevant, a boundary breaker, a faith explorer, and an adventurer for my King and my world around me.
