Study Place students visit aquarium

The Study Place’s students visited the world renowned Atlanta Aquarium on Oct. 25.
After the tutorial portion of each day at The Study Place, Mrs. Hogarth and Mrs. Hunter teach enrichment units to their students. This first unit was based on adaptations that help our weird and wild animals survive in the oceans.
The culmination of this unit was a trip to the Georgia Aquarium for an instructor-led program presented by one of the biology instructors. This special lesson featured a tour of the aquarium, a “behind the scenes” guided tour of the care of the animals including information on animal adaptations in the sea, focus learning opportunities which helped the children understand aquatic ecosystems and a 3-D Undersea Wondershow.
In addition to the aquarium study, the children and their parents toured The World of Coca-Cola.
