B-H kicks off school year with food, fun and supplies

More than 100 students and their families enjoyed a back-to-school bash at Blackville-Hilda High School Aug. 18.
During the event, students enjoyed free food, music, a car show and free school supplies to help them start the new school year off right.
District 19 teachers and administrators were on hand to greet the families and help out.
BHHS Principal David Norman said the event was meant to get people excited about the school year and allowed parents to come out and get involved with their children's education.
