The entire Barnwell District 45 Family would like to thank Clariant for donating copy paper to each of our four schools.
A huge thank-you is also extended to everyone who made Homecoming 2012 a success: Mrs. Lisa Wyndham and the Student Council for coordinating the week's activities; students, faculty and staff for participating in spirit days; downtown merchants and law enforcement officials for assisting with the Homecoming parade; Mr. Robert "Uncle Bobby" Peeples, avid and long-time supporter of Warhorse athletics, for serving as the Homecoming parade's Grand Marshal; the Warhorse football team and coaching staff for providing much excitement on the playing field; Mrs. Suzanne Renew and Mrs. Michelle Sanders for painting red horseshoes; and the Warhorse Club, cheerleaders, band members, band booster club, Pep squad and football fans for their loyal support. Congratulations to the three senior girls who were elected by the student body for the 2012 Homecoming Court: Second Runner-Up Ciera Bell, First Runner-Up Samantha Sanders and Homecoming Queen Jasmine McGraw.

Junior Makayla Watkins for receiving a $1,000 college scholarship from the CSRA's College Night held recently in Augusta, Ga.
Junior Jade Bolin for establishing the "Art in My Heart" club which meets on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 until 5:30 at the Barnwell County Museum
Senior Mark Johnson for completing flight-engineering camp this summer at the University of South Carolina
BHS varsity football team members for spending time with and reading to the children at Barnwell Primary School
Congratulations to United States History Teacher Brenda Scruggs on being selected as Barnwell School District 45's Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Scruggs and her husband, Robert, are the parents of twins, Sydney and Douglas, who are in the 8th grade at Guinyard-Butler Middle School. Mrs. Scruggs is a 1981 graduate of Allendale-Fairfax High School and a 1985 graduate of Winthrop University. This is her 28th year in education, all of which have been in Barnwell School District 45.
