KEES Black History Program
Kelly Edwards Elementary School will have their African-American Heritage Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 1:15 p.m. The community is invited to attend this event.

AFHS Black History Program
Allendale-Fairfax High School will host a Black History Program on Feb. 28 in the gymnasium at 1:30 p.m. The guest speaker is Senior Pastor Daniel R.P. Greene of Greater Glory Jubilee Deliverance Tabernacle in Williston.

Book Drive
Kelly Edwards Elementary School will host a community drive for books to be distributed to families who are in need of books to read in their homes. The books will be distributed on March 1 in conjunction with the school's Dr. Seuss Read Across America Carnival.
All donations of used and unused books are welcomed and greatly appreciated. The books or contributions are requested to be received prior to Thursday, Feb. 28 and may be dropped off at the KEES front office.

D-45 Title 1 Meeting
Barnwell District 45's Title I planning meeting will be held at the Barnwell Primary School Library on Tuesday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of a Title I School-wide program is to upgrade the entire educational program in school in order to improve academic achievement so that all students, particularly the lowest-achieving students, demonstrate proficiency of the state's academic standards.
Public input is encouraged and residents are invited to serve on the planning team.

Barnwell Academy Registration
Barnwell Academy is now accepting applications for the 2013-14 school year. Grade levels to be offered include 3K, 4K, 5K, and 1st-6th grades.
In order to apply, parents may pick up an application at the school office in the Barnwell Presbyterian Church Education Wing or through the website, www.barnwellacademy.org.

Barnwell Primary Registration
Registration for 4-year-old Pre-K and 5K at Barnwell Primary School will be held the following dates from 8 to 11 a.m. in Building 1: March 26-29 for 4 Pre-K & 5 K; and April 24-26 for 4 Pre-K & 5K. Children must be four or five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2013.

JDA Registration
Jefferson Davis Academy is now accepting applications for 2013-14 school year. Grade levels for enrollment are 3K - 12th grades.
Fees for new 3K and 4K years old for 10 months payments are $90 per month with a $500 registration fee per child. This fee will be based on enrollment numbers. Fees for new 5K students for 10 months payments are $250 per month with a $525 per child registration fee.
