Steppin’ Hawks stomp for 13th year

Blackville-Hilda High School Steppin' Hawks had their 13th Annual Step Show March 16 at the BHHS gym.
A good crowd came to support the annual show, which included competing high school step teams from Columbia, Aiken, Beaufort and West Florence. There was also a performance from recording artist, Da Kashmere from Columbia.
The BHHS Alumni Steppers also performed a tribute to a former step team member, the late Tequan Cave, who died last year. Flowers were presented to his mother and his family was recognized.
"A big thank you goes out to the community who comes out every year the third Saturday in March to support this show," said Alicia Gaines. She also thanked the principals of Barnwell High and Guinyard-Butler Middle schools for informing their students about the show, Mrs. Dinah F. Gaines, advisor of the BHHS Steppin' Hawks, and coaches Joe Gaines Jr., Tanika Wallace, and Nicole Gaines.
