Graduations set across county

There's just a week left of public school, and that means it's time for hundreds to graduate into the next chapter of their lives.
Before seniors graduate, baccalaureates will be held Sunday, June 2, at all three public high schools.
Blackville-Hilda's will be at 4 p.m. in the auditorium with Rev. Freddie Wright of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lees, followed by Williston-Elko High's at 6 p.m. in the auditorium with Rev. Joseph Cook of Culbert Branch Baptist Church. Barnwell High's is at 7:30 p.m. on the football field with Rev. Herman Wallace of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Barnwell High kicks the graduation celebration off Thursday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. on their football field. In the event of rain, it will be moved inside the gym where a ticket will be required.
Williston-Elko High School will hold theirs Friday, June 7, at 7 p.m. on their football field. It will be moved to the auditorium if it rains. Each senior will have so many tickets to give out, though their will be overflow seating complete with closed-circuit television in the canteen.
Blackville-Hilda High School will end the graduation season an hour later at 8 p.m. on their football field. If it rains, it will be moved in the auditorium and will require a ticket.
