Pageant raises funds for autism

The Barnwell County Career Center FFA hosted the Miss FFA Rodeo Pageant on April 11 at Barnwell Primary School, helping raise money for autism.
Participants of the pageant assisted the FFA in collecting donations for autism, an area of need that has become very dear to the hearts of many FFA members, and one that affects one out of every 88 children today.
Miss Mary Elizabeth Williams of Springfield was named "2013 FFA Sweetheart" after she worked to raise $645 in donations for autism. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Williams.
Scholarships were awarded to the highest placing individual in three age divisions: Miss Hannah Flowers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Flowers of Blackville, was named Miss FFA Rodeo Queen in the high school division followed by 1st Runner Up Miss Kendall Perry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Perry of Barnwell.
