Notice is hereby given that Towanda Creech and Larron Buie intends to apply to the South Carolina Department of Revenue for a license/permit that will allow the sale and on premises consumption of Beer, Wine and Liquor at 14070 Church St., Williston SC 29853.
To object to the issuance of this permit/license, written protest must be postmarked no later than August 12, 2011.
For a protest to be valid, it must be in writing, and should include the following information:
(1) the name, address and telephone number of the person filing the protest;

Public Notice of
Funding Application
This public notice is to inform the citizens of Blackville, SC that the Blackville Community Development Corporation (CDC), Inc., intends to submit a Housing Preservation Grant Application to U.S.D.A. Rural Development. Rural Development Housing Preservation Grants provide qualified public nonprofit organizations and public agencies funding to assist very low and low income homeowners repair and rehabilitate their homes in rural areas. The proposed marketing strategy will be needs based. Blackville CDC will identify the most urgent individual housing rehabilitation needs within the defined service area. Once these needs have been identified, selection will be conducted on a first come, first serve basis.
Blackville CDC will request $60,000 in grant funds to cover program expenses. An additional $9,000 will be requested for administrative expenses. Blackville CDC has been awarded $60,000 from the Housing Trust Fund Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Grant for 2011 and has additional funds remaining from the March 2010 Housing Trust Fund Award. If awarded the Rural Development Housing Preservation Grant, the CDC will be able to maximize its efforts to provide quality service to the citizens of Blackville and all citizens within the defined service area of the CDC.
Blackville CDC solicits comments from the citizens of Blackville regarding the application for its decision to pursue this funding for the 2011 program year. Comments will allow the CDC to address questions and concerns that the community has regarding the Housing Preservation Grant application. Our next monthly board meeting will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
