PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
-SCRAP METAL-
The Town of Williston has accumulated various types of scrap material including aluminum, cast iron, and steel as well as a number of seized, wrecked and forfeited vehicles.  The Town of Williston is soliciting written bids from scrap metal dealers or individuals interested in purchasing the Town’s accumulated scrap metal as these vehicles.  
It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to remove all items within 10 days of bid acceptance and payment. No Town assistance for loading or removal will be available. Interested parties are responsible for examining this collection of scrap prior to bidding. Successful bidder will remove all items denoted below. Items will not be sold individually.
Anyone interested in purchasing the Town’s accumulate scrap metal  and junk vehicles must submit a written bid to the Town by 5:00 p.m. on June 15th,  2011.  The bid must clearly state the dealer’s offered prices for the accumulated collection  of vehicles and scrap metal identified below.
Individuals may also mail or hand deliver written bids to Mark Carroll Maintenance Superintendent, Town of Williston, 13112 Main Street, Williston, SC 29853.  Payment must occur within 7 days of bid acceptance or the next highest bidder will be contacted.  Please direct all inquiries to Mr. Carroll.  The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
