Terry’s Hardware now open in Blackville

A new business opened over the weekend in Blackville.
Terry's Hardware and Auto Supply, located next to Shelton's gas station on Hwy. 3, had its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday morning, July 20.
Over 30 community members came out to show their support for the new store, owned by Allendale resident Terry Williams.
State Rep. Lonnie Hosey was on hand and told Williams the town appreciates his efforts.
"We got to save ourselves," Hosey said about building small businesses in the community. He said people shouldn't depend too much on the state or federal government for help.
"We will grow together," he said.
Hosey made one of the first purchases from the store.
Blackville Town Councilwoman Ann Pernell told Williams the "town wishes you success."
Williams said he had to give a special thanks to "almighty God," Robert Yoder and his family, the Felder family, Willie Felder, Lydia B. Myers, Jeff Edison and his family, Bolden Supply Inc. and the Blackville Community.
He also wanted to thank his parents, Terry Williams Jr. and Gloria Sanders, Rev. Hughes and Rev. Wallace, Wilson Holmes Sr. and Willie and Eva Mae Williams.
Terry's Hardware and Auto Supply is open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
