Murder suspect, girlfriend apprehended in Tenn.
A murder suspect and his girlfriend were arrested in Tennessee nearly a month after the shooting death of George Lee Grimes.
Ricky Antwan Williams and his girlfriend, Teresa K. Luna, were arrested on Wednesday, August 16 in Knox County, Tennessee, according to Barnwell County Sheriff Ed Carroll.
The sheriff said his office was notified by the State Law Enforcement Division this afternoon about the arrests.
Williams is wanted for the July 23 murder of George Lee Grimes on Fairway Lane. Luna is going to be charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Carroll said Tennessee authorities do not have any charges on the couple, so they will start the extradition process back to Barnwell County as soon as possible.
According to an incident report, the murder was in retaliation for Grimes giving Williams fake money in exchange for heroin the day before the shooting.
Two other people, James Anderson Langford and Summer Marie Padgett, are charged with accessory before the fact to a felony.
