Local ghost hunters search for the paranormal

A Barnwell County ghost hunter and his team are going to be featured Monday, Oct. 30 by WJBF Channel 6.

Ryan Love, 31, and Brandon Spell, 28, are the primary hunters of paranormal activity and have formed a company, Paranormal 64.

“We visit mostly residential areas searching for paranormal activity,” said Love who has been ghost hunting for nearly two years. “I was always into this but several years ago I got hurt at work. While I was recovering, I really got involved.”

Paranormal 64’s team, which includes a medium and technical support, has performed over 30 investigations, said Love, with three in Barnwell County. “There is a lot of activity around here,” he said.

He said they have gotten a lot more calls for investigations following an article in the Post & Courier in August.

The two were recently asked to visit Annie’s Inn, a bed and breakfast outside of Aiken, and were accompanied by a television news crew from Augusta. That story is scheduled to be aired on Monday, Oct. 30.
