Daylight-saving time changes Sunday, March 14

First Byline:
Staff reports

Don't forget to clock in Sunday night -- not for work, but when daylight-saving time changes again.
Officially, clocks should be set ahead one hour at 2 a.m., Sunday morning, March 14, which will make it 3 a.m.

Most people change their clocks before retiring for the evening.

The hour lost this coming Sunday will be regained Nov. 7 when clocks are set back 60 minutes.

Beginning in 1987, daylight-saving time began with the first Sunday in April and ended with the last Sunday in October.

However, the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was the most recent change of daylight-saving time. From that legislation, in 2007, the daylight-saving time period expanded by three weeks.
