I would like to thank the Barnwell City Police Department along with the Barnwell County Sheriff's Office for their quick response to a 911 call received early in the morning on Sunday, Sept. 15.
A neighbor called 911 and reported a loud noise in the parking lot of Warhorse Motors on Marlboro Avenue. When the police arrived at Warhorse Motors, a man took off running. He was in the process of stealing a second catalytic converter off one of the vehicles on the lot.
As a result of the police department's quick response, they were able to stop the crime in progress.
