Carolyn Honor Gibbons Lee, 57, of Barnwell, passed away on Sunday, Sept., 15, 2013.
She was born in Manning. She was the daughter of the late Thomas "Lonnie" Gibbons and Marilyn Ruffin Gibbons. She was a substitute school teacher for Barnwell County. She was a homemaker and avid motorcycle rider with the "Carolina Voyager Association". She was a member of Seven Pines Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed making sure her grandchildren were taken on several memorable vacations.
She is survived by her sons, David (Margie) R. Lee of Lexington and James (Jessica) Thomas Lee of Barnwell; One daughter, Deanna Lee (Joshua) Thacker of West Columbia; grandchildren, Annabelle Elizabeth Lee, James Thomas Lee Jr., and a future grandchild of Deanna and Joshua Thacker; and one sister, Marilyn Wanda Turk of Olanta.
Mrs. Lee and her Husband, David, went to be with the Lord together.
A service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the Dyches Funeral Chapel, officiated by Billy Mew with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be a private family burial in Lake City Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. are in charge of arrangements.
