Evert Comer Jr. invite area churches and the public to its annual Summer Revival beginning 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, and continuing 7 p.m. nightly Monday through Friday (Sept. 16-20). Rev. Sanka Davis Sr. of Rome Baptist Church will open the revival. The week's revivalists are: Rev. Allan C. Keitt of Capernaum Baptist Church on Monday, Rev. Floyd Hughes Sr. of Macedonia Baptist Church on Tuesday, Rev. Dr. Ollie M. Boyd of Ebenezer/Rizer Chapel United Methodist churches on Wednesday, Rev. Dr. James T. Thankful Baptist Church (Bridge Street in Bamberg) will have its fall revival Sept. 16 thru 22 with prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. nightly Monday thru Friday. Rev. James Blassingame will preach during the week. On Sunday at 2 p.m., Rev. W.J. Simmons will lead the closing sermon. Dinner will be served at the end of the service on Sunday.
Faith Chapel Church (Blackville) will host The Shepherds for a night of worship and music Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
Rosemary Baptist Church will have an ushers' workshop Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.
Olive Branch Baptist Church (407, Urquhart Dr., Beech Island) will present a gospel extravaganza Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.
St. Mary Baptist Church, 474 Highway 125, Martin, SC 29836 will celebrate their 18th Homecoming Celebration on Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. The speaker for the occasion is Rev. Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their 126th Church Anniversary on Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. John Holston, Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.
Macedonia Youth Choir will celebrate its 16th choir anniversary Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Blackville.
Frost Branch Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 145th church anniversary Sept. 22 beginning with Sunday School at 10 a.m.
Canaan Fair Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (Williston) will have its 135 church anniversary Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Dr. Edward Thomas.
Springfield Missionary Baptist Church (Hwy. 278) will celebrate its 120th church anniversary Sept. 22 with Sunday school starting at 10:30 a.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Sanka Davis. Dinner will be served.
Young Rosemary Missionary Baptist Church will have its 2nd Hallelujah Night Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. The Gospel Originals, of Aiken, will perform along with the church gospel chorus and other groups.
Bright and Morning Star Pentecostal Church of Christ (26 Grant St., Barnwell) will host Southern District Council Services Sept. 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. both nights, and Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. All pastors, churches, and community members are invited. Good Hope AME Zion Church (1040 Carver School Road, Cope) will host an event honoring the Morning Stars of Glory, celebrating 24 years, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. There will be several performances. Doors open at 4 p.m. and worship begins at 5:45 p.m. Food will be served.
A joint DiscipleNow weekend will be held with the youth groups of Barnwell First Baptist and Hagood Avenue Baptist churches Sept. 27 to 29. The cost is $10.
Angel Wings Food Bank will have a food giveaway on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Anyone in the community and surrounding area who is in need of food is welcome to come.
Second Baptist Church of Barnwell will host their annual Friends & Family Fun Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the church grounds. Come enjoy a day of music, Zumba, mobile arcade, health screenings, BBQ cook-off, comedy show and food. They will celebrate Homecoming services Sunday, Sept. 29, beginning with Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.
Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Denmark) will hold a College Day Celebration Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. for all college students attending Voorhees and Denmark Technical colleges. The public is also invited. Dinner will be served following morning worship.

Shrub Branch Missionary Baptist Church will have its first women's conference Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. It will be at the Macedonia Association Building on Hwy. 78 in Blackville. The theme is: Women of God Let Their Faith Bloom. Speaker will be evangelist Arlean Edwards. There is a $10 registration fee.
Hillcrest Baptist Church (Williston) will have its Homecoming Oct. 6. Worship Service is at 10:45 a.m., and lunch is at 12 p.m.
Runs Missionary Baptist Church (717 Williston Road, Beech Island) will have its annual United States Rally Oct. 6 at 8 a.m. Pastor Daniel Latimer will be our guest minister. He is the Pastor or St. March Baptist Church of Allendale and The Kings church of Augusta. Everyone is asked to wear Red, White and Blue.
New Harvest Outreach Ministries will have its 8th annual fall festival Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food, games, crafts, country store, silent auction, bingo and a yard sale, which starts at 7 a.m. The location is 96 Lemon Road in Barnwell (across from the original house of pizza).
Augusta Jewish Community Center (898 Weinberger Way, Evans, Ga.) will have a concert night Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre at GRU Augusta. The Each One Reach One of Rosemary Baptist Church after-school enrichment program is now enrolling. Students receive assistance with homework. Grades K-6 can sign up.
