Funeral services for Willie R. Sanders, 72, of Williston, will be held at 2 p.m.,, Sept. 25, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston with the Rev. Floyd Dukes officiating. Burial will be in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Willie passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013.
Born in Bamberg, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Elberta Medlin Sanders. He formerly worked at Amoco Foam Products. He was a truck driver and served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Wood Sanders; a son, Bruce (Beth) Sanders; daughters, Janice S. (Billy) Williams, Terri S. (Dean) Furtick, Karen S. (Robbie) Bradford; grandchildren, Kristen (Michael) Gorrell, Brett (Katie) Williams, Emily Williams, Staci Langford, Brooke Sanders, Nichol (Wes) Price, Curt (April) Furtick, Jackson and Gracen Bradford; great-grandchildren, Bryce Williams, Macie Youngblood, Landon, Riley and Isla Williams.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Creech and Marguerite Bowen; brothers, Gene and Odell Sanders.
Folk Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
