Bright and Morning Star Pentecostal Church of Christ (26 Grant St., Barnwell) will host Southern District Council Services Sept. 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. both nights, and Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. All pastors, churches, and community members are invited. Good Hope AME Zion Church (1040 Carver School Road, Cope) will host an event honoring the Morning Stars of Glory, celebrating 24 years, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. There will be several performances. Doors open at 4 p.m. and worship begins at 5:45 p.m. Food will be served.
A joint DiscipleNow weekend will be held with the youth groups of Barnwell First Baptist and Hagood Avenue Baptist churches Sept. 27 to 29. The cost is $10.
Angel Wings Food Bank will have a food giveaway on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Anyone in the community and surrounding area who is in need of food is welcome to come.
Second Baptist Church of Barnwell will host their annual Friends & Family Fun Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the church grounds. Come enjoy a day of music, Zumba, mobile arcade, health screenings, BBQ cook-off, comedy show and food. They will celebrate Homecoming services Sunday, Sept. 29, beginning with Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.
St. John Baptist Church (1660 St. John Road, Boiling Springs Community) will hold its first Youth Choir Anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. All young people are encouraged to participate.
Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Denmark) will hold a College Day Celebration Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. for all college students attending Voorhees and Denmark Technical colleges. The public is also invited. Dinner will be served following morning worship.
Rosemary Baptist Church will have a "Youth Spirit Sunday" Sept. 29 with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. Students from all local schools are encouraged to attend, wear their school attire and show their school spirit. Refreshments will be served.
Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Denmark) will have its 61st church anniversary Oct. 4 thru 6. Friday night services are at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday is a family day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a clothing and food giveaway. Sunday service is at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The theme is: The Passionate Church: Commemorating and Celebrating God's Model for Growth and Evangelism in a Changing and Challenging World
Shrub Branch Missionary Baptist Church will have its first women's conference Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. It will be at the Macedonia Association Building on Hwy. 78 in Blackville. The theme is: Women of God Let Their Faith Bloom. Speaker will be evangelist Arlean Edwards. There is a $10 registration fee.
Bethany Baptist Church will have a building fundraiser yard sale will be held Saturday, Oct 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4205 Hwy 37 toward Williston. Accepting all items as donations day before morning of sale. Also entertainment for tips.
Winfield Heights Baptist Church (315 Chester St., Williston) will have Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. Guest speaker will be artist/evangelist Dan Gardner. Lunch will be served following the service.

Hillcrest Baptist Church (Williston) will have its Homecoming Oct. 6. Worship Service is at 10:45 a.m., and lunch is at 12 p.m.
Healing Springs Baptist Church will have a revival Oct. 6 thru 8 at 7 p.m. each night. Guest speakers are: Rev. Dan Gardner on Sunday and Rev. Brandon Sandifer Monday and Tuesday. There will be music each night.
Runs Missionary Baptist Church (717 Williston Road, Beech Island) will have its annual United States Rally Oct. 6 at 8 a.m. Pastor Daniel Latimer will be our guest minister. He is the Pastor or St. March Baptist Church of Allendale and The Kings church of Augusta. Everyone is asked to wear Red, White and Blue.
New Harvest Outreach Ministries will have its 8th annual fall festival Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food, games, crafts, country store, silent auction, bingo and a yard sale, which starts at 7 a.m. The location is 96 Lemon Road in Barnwell (across from the original house of pizza).
Macedonia Baptist Church (Blackville) will celebrate its 34th pastor's anniversary Sunday, Oct. 13 at 2:30 p.m. Speaker will be Pastor James Duukes of Mount Olive Bapitst Church in Batesburg.
Healing Springs Baptist Church will have its homecoming Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Dan Boineau of Spring Town Baptist Church in Bamberg. A barbeque will held at after service.

Augusta Jewish Community Center (898 Weinberger Way, Evans, Ga.) will have a concert night Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre at GRU Augusta.
