Society should teach children morals, values
As parents, as leaders, as educators, and as a community, we are required to develop future visions for our children. It is imperative that we see that our children receive the best education. Without it, their future will be so dim.
There are so many of our children who are getting left behind, feeling hopeless, helpless, abandoned, broken and alone. Our children should be our top priority. Teaching them how to reach attainable goals will help them to become successful achievers.
Let's go back to teaching our children values, morals, dignity, respect, and integrity. Whatever we exhibit in our homes, schools, communities, and churches will influence our children forever.
Children are no accident or mistake. We just need to take a different approach when trying to reach them. God gave us a heads-up on the generations of today. They are more inquisitive, they learn at a faster pace, they mature faster, and they ask more adult-like questions.
I count children as being a real blessing from God. They are beautiful, talented, gifted and wonderfully made. I don't even want to begin to imagine what the world would be like without them.
Our children are our heritage, our tomorrow's security; future teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, policemen, bankers, etc. Some of us have sacrificed our children on the alters of careerism, selfishness and materialism rather than continuing to fight to rebuild our world. Let's begin to make our energy count by rebuilding our communities and our society.
So I am inviting and pleading with all who desire to make a difference in the lives of our children to take a stand and begin to help rebuild them, our children, our future, our nation, our world.
