Shooting suspect in custody

The suspect in a Tuesday night shooting is in custody.
Julious Tilley, 27, of 358 Robinson St., Blackville, was arrested Dec. 10 by the Blackville Police Department in connection to a shooting hours before, according to a press release from Blackville Police Chief John Holston.
Tilley is accused of shooting 33-year-old Jeremiah Pryer of Blackville once in the neck around 6:15 p.m. Pryer was found by officers lying on the ground outside the residence of 20588 Solomon Blatt Ave., said Holston.
Pryer was airlifted to MCG in Augusta, Ga., with non-life threatening injuries, said Holston.
Prior to being transported, Pryer identified Tilley as the shooter. Tilley was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Violent Crime. He was transported to the Barnwell County Detention Center.
Holston said the investigation is still ongoing.

A man was airlifted to the hospital Tuesday night after being shot in the neck.
The 30-year-old male victim, whose name has not been released, was shot around 6:15 p.m. on Solomon Blatt Avenue near the corner of Eagle Street in Blackville, according to Blackville Police Chief John Holston.
The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to his neck, which Holston said doesn't appear to be life threatening at this time. The victim was transported via medical helicopter to an area hospital, according to EMS transmissions.
A suspect has been identified, but is not in custody at this time, said Holston. The suspect's name has not been released.
The shooting is under investigation by the Blackville Police Department.
