A woman wearing only a T-shirt wrecked into two poles Sunday morning, clipping them in half, according to police.
Cierra Mayes of Blackville was driving east on Main Street in Williston before her Honda four-door ran into a utility pole and street lamp in front of the Williston First Baptist Church, said Williston police officer Joey Patsourakos.
Mayes was transported to the hospital, but has since been released, said Patsourakos.
It has not been determined if Mayes was under the influence at the time of the wreck, though she told police she had attended a party the night before. She was on her way home from the house where the party took place when the wreck occurred, though she doesn't remember what happened, said Patsourakos.
Mayes has been charged with driving too fast for conditions, though the wreck remains under investigation.
Patsourakos said Mayes' vehicle was totaled and estimated there is about $6,000 in damage to the poles.
