Eugene Bolen

Funeral services for Eugene Edward Bolen, 87, of Williston, were held at 11 a.m., Jan.18, at the First Baptist Church of Williston with the Rev. Floyd Dukes officiating. Burial followed in the Williston Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Jan. 17, at Folk Funeral Home, Williston.

Mr. Eugene passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.
Born in Barnwell County, he was the son of the late Denzel L and Norma Porter Bolen. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williston and attended Edisto Baptist Church. He was a self-employed business man having owned and managed Bolen's Red & White with his two brothers for many years and was a real estate investor. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Fulmer Bolen; daughter, Marisa (Jay) Schumpert; son, Gene (Kerri) Bolen; brother, Myron (Katie) Bolen; grandchildren, Bryane (George) Washburn, LaNita Bolen, Jarrett Schumpert, Cullen (Kristen) Bolen; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Gabriel Washburn, Christian and Lansley Macgargle; nieces, Denise Elkins, Dana Byrd and Deborah Bolen-Cook.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bolen; and a nephew, Kenneth M Bolen Jr.
Folk Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
