Leslie B. Dyches, 66, passed away at his home in Barnwell, Monday, Feb. 3, 2014. .
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Feb. 5, at Green Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Chavis and June Still officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Branch Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., Feb. 4, at Dyches Funeral Home.
Mr. Dyches was born in Barnwell, and was the son of the late Norman B. Dyches and Myrtle Still Dyches. Mr. Dyches served in the U.S. Army and was retired from construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a loving father and grandfather. He dearly loved boiling and selling "Boiled P-Nuts" and his children said there are too many memories to count. He will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Dyches of the home; two sons, Greg (Karen) Crosby of Waterloo, Leslie Dave Dyches of Greenwood; one sister, Norma Jean Dyches; five brothers, Samuel (Sheena) Dyches of Bamberg, Steve (Debra) Dyches of Williston, Ronnie (Lindy) Dyches of Blythewood, Marshall Dyches of Barnwell, Jerry Dyches of Williston; four grandchildren, Dustin Crosby, Courtney Crosby, Travis Laoudermilk, and Dallas Dyches.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Annette Owens; and a brother, MacArthur Dyches.
Pallbearers for Mr. Dyches will be Brandon Vachery, Nicholos Owens, Cliff Dyches, Bryan Dyches, Anthony Dyches, Scott Crosby, and Jamie Dyches.
The family entrusted Dyches Funeral Home of Barnwell with the arrangements.
