Blackville Council is commended for stance
I write to commend the Blackville City Council for their present position on whether to approve Blackville's participation in the intergovernmental agreement to fund a gang task force for Barnwell County. It would appear that there are some members of the council that understand the old maxim that warns us all that "fools rush in where angels fear to tread." Would that wiser heads had prevailed in other city councils across the county.
For myself, I can only hope that our County Sheriff doesn't decide at sometime in the near future to ask our City Council members in Barnwell County for two or three M4 Sherman tanks to help quell the rioting presently taking place in the streets and alleys of Barnwell, Blackville, Elko, Hilda, Snelling and Williston.
