Nancy Gooding Chesser, 64, of Barnwell, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Agape Hospice House, Columbia.
Mrs. Nancy was born in Allendale, Dec. 15, 1949. She was a daughter of the late Telmack Gooding and Ethel Crosby Gooding. She was a morning shift clerk at Sport's Convenience Store where she greeted her customerd with a smile. She was a member of the Seven Pines Baptist Church in Snelling. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., March 8, at Seven Pines Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Watford and Rev. John O'Cain officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., March 7, at Mole Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Angie Doe of Barnwell; son, Michael R. Stanley of Barnwell; brother, Kenny (Joyce) Gooding of Perry; sisters, Lucille Weathers of Moncks Corner, Hazel Mathis of Denmark and Linda (Al) Plumbley of Hilda; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Newton Chesser; and siblings, Telmack Gooding Jr., William Hugh Gooding.
Mole Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
