Reverend Cornell F. Mitchell, 82, of Barnwell, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Southern Palmetto Hospital.
Reverend Cornell F. Mitchell was the son of the late Charlie and Ollie Richvine. He was a U.S. Veteran.
Funeral service were held at 1 p.m., March 8, at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Burial followed at Hope Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Guinyard and Sons Funeral Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Carmen (Nathaniel) Hicks Jr. and Brenda (Paul) Lewis; one son, Peter (Shante) Edmonds; one sister, Corine (Henry) Maynard; eight grandchildren, Lynda, Oscar, Tia, Unique, Dishown, Michael, Travis and Reginald; two nieces, Cheryl Maynard Ryan and Karen Anise Maynard; three nephews, Claude (Pat) maynard, Lynn (Linda) Maynard and Gerald (Lisa) Maynard; five grandneces, two grand nephews, cousins and friends.
Guinyard and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
