Standing in love for Jesus Christ

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
I agree with Rev. Franklin Graham that rather than influencing the culture with the Light of the Gospel, churches have become accommodating and accepting of sin, "ducking the issue."
When I read the Free Republic Browser search of Joel Osteen, Pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, saying that the apostles, Paul, Peter, and John who wrote much of the New Testament, were wrong and need to be corrected and rebuked, my heart was broken. When he said his new version of good news is much better than the message that Jesus Christ preached 2,000 years ago, I felt like Jeremiah who wrote in Lamentations 3:45 - my eyes overflow with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people. Verse 49, my eyes flow and do not cease. I have spent many restless nights thinking about what Joel Osteen and others are doing with God's Holy Word.
I believe it is time for Christians to stand up and have a voice and rebuke those who are going against our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the mission that He has given us. Piers Morgan of CNN says that most of the Bible is plain ridiculous. Does it break your heart for men like these who are calling God's Word a lie? These are false prophets who are leading our people to a devil's hell. It is time for Christians to stand up and be a voice and let people hear the truth about God and salvation in Jesus Christ.
The church has been silent too long. We believe it is past time for the Church to be a voice in the wilderness in which we live. Based on Judges, Chapter 7, when God told Gideon to send home some of the guards that was in his army, Gideon was left with only 300 of his 32,000 army to go against the Midianites and their army of 135,000. You know who won the battle, those who were not cowards and ready to stand for God. Therefore, based on the need for people to hear the truth, we are forming the 300 Club based on God's word and Judges, Chapter 7, to be a voice for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to rebuke such false teachings as Joel Osteen and others.
Would you like to be a part of this movement and take a stand for Jesus Christ? We want our message to go all the way to the Southern Baptist Convention so that the President of the Southern Baptist Convention and other leaders there can come out of their shell and take a stand for Jesus Christ. Please share this challenge to your Church members and take a stand for Jesus Christ.
If you would like to be a member of the 300 Club - Taking a Stand for Jesus Christ - let your desire be known by writing Trinity Baptist Church, 4721 Galilee Road, Barnwell, SC 29812 or call Chris at 259-7464 or Pastor Rommie Martin 259-1236. You can also contact Pastor Rommie Martin by email at
