Kindergarteners remembered a little girl, who touched many in her three years of life, on what would have been her fourth birthday.
Cindy Lambert and Carol Sandifer's students at Barnwell Primary held pink butterflies they made as they sang "Happy Birthday" March 5 in memory of the late Zeta Brabham. Butterflies - a Christian symbol of hope - appeared to Zeta's family in a variety of ways before and after her death last May following multiple health problems.
Zeta's memory lives on with Team Zeta, whose colors are pink and green. The group aims to improve the quality of life for medically and developmentally challenged children and their families through support, education and advocacy. Zeta's parents, including her mother Angel, a former guidance counselor at Barnwell Primary, help lead Team Zeta.
