Mary Dunbar

A celebration of life for Mrs. Mary Lou Dunbar, 80, of Barnwell, was held at 1 p.m., March 11, at Young Rosemary Baptist Church with Elder Phinice Young officiating. Interment followed in the Young Rosemary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary Lou Dunbar was born July 25, 1933, in Barnwell County to the late Mrs. Arrie and David Ryans Sr.
She departed this life on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the Aiken Regional Medical Center.
At an early age, Mary Lou joined the Young Rosemary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Gospel Choir for many years, doing what she loved: singing and uplifting God in praise. She was educated at Saint Peter School of Elko. She was united in holy wedlock to Mr. England "Bud" Dunbar. To this union nine children were born.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Mr. England "Bud" Dunbar of Williston; five sons, Mr. Norman (Beatrice) Dunbar of Williston, Mr. Jarvis (Rosa) Dunbar of Williston, Mr. Jasper Dunbar of Augusta, Ga., Mr. Lonnie Dunbar of Williston and Mr. Jhonnie Dunbar of Williston; four daughters, Mrs. Gloria Staley of Williston, Mrs. Carol Rudolph of Columbia, Ms. Eldonia O'Neal of Williston, and Mrs. Sylvia (John) Irons of Bamberg; one brother, Mr. Romeo (Mary) Ryans of Miami, Fla.; one sister, Ms. Elizabeth Keys of Windsor; three sister-in-laws, Ms. Lura Ryans of Williston, Ms. Mary Ryans and Ms. Juanita Ryans both of Miami, Fla.; 15 grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Mr. Freddie Houston; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Your prayers, florals and other kindness have done much to comfort and sustain us during Mary Lou's illness and passing. We thank you for your thoughtfulness and ask God's continued blessings upon you.
