Jeannette Fogle

Jeannette Bonnette Fogle, of Springfield, passed from this earthly life on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at the age of 94.
She was the widow of Rupert L. Fogle of Springfield.
Mrs. Fogle was born Nov. 1, 1919, to the late Willie Eugene Bonnette and Nina Fralick Bonnette in the Pine Hill Community of Orangeburg County. She was the eldest of six siblings. A graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1938, she then married her childhood sweetheart, Rupert L. Fogle on July 21, 1939. They were married 55 years.
She traveled with her husband for 20 years, as he served in the Marine Corps. Upon retirement in 1958, they returned to Springfield where she resided until January 2002. At that time, she moved into the Presbyterian Community of S.C. on DaVega Drive, Lexington, and resided there. After a brief illness, she spent her last days at Life Care Center of Columbia. She was a former member of Williston Presbyterian Church and Springfield United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Talmadge (Sonny) Bonnette, and Walter E. Bonnett, Clarence Bonnette and brother-in-law Robert Henry Poole.
She was devoted to her family and is survived by her only child, Gayle (Bobby) Davis; sisters, Emma Poole of Springfield, Mary Alice (Fred) Holmes of New Ellenton; sister-in-law, Rebecca P. Bonnette; grandchildren, Sharon (Steven) Seal, Barry Davis, Brian (Chastity) Davis; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., April 1, at the Springfield United Methodist Church with Pastor Dewitt Livingston officiating. Visitation was held at 1 p.m., prior to the services at the church. Interment followed in the Springfield Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., April 3, at the Presbyterian Home Chapel, 700 DaBega Drive in Lexington, with Chaplain Fran Braedon officiating.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Presbyterian Home of South Carolina in Columbia, for care during the 12 years she resided there. Special thanks go to Dr. Crigler, Precious, Esther, and the staff at Life Care Center of Columbia.
