Get a ‘Taste of Blackville’

First Byline:
Susan C. Delk - Managing Editor

Spring has sprung and that means it's time for the annual Taste of Blackville.
The event, now in its eighth year, has a host of activities for all ages.
The fun will start at 10 a.m. and will last until 4 p.m. in downtown Blackville.
There will be craft and food vendors and performances by the Blackville-Hilda High School step team and band. For the little ones, hay rides and inflatable slides will be available. There will also be an Easter Bunny at the event. Pictures with the bunny will be at Enterprise Bank from noon until 2 p.m.
An Easter hat parade and pet parade will round out the activities.
There will be a Best Friend "train" scavenger hunt as well as face painting for the children. Child fingerprinting will be provided by the Barnwell County Sheriff's Office throughout the day.
After the opening welcome, Rep. Lonnie Hosey will speak during the "Meet the candidates" time. Other politicians have been invited to participate as well.
Vendors can still sign up to participate.
