Funeral services for Clifton Oneal Fail, 89, of Barnwell, will be held at 2 p.m., April 9, in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with Reverends Bert Baynham and Timothy Gunnells officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Barnwell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to United Hospice, 211 York Street N.E. Aiken, S.C. 29803.
Mr. Fail passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014.
Born in Olar, he was a son of the late Ozzie Fail and Lula Tucker Fail and was the widower of Odie Collins Fail. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World. He was a retired farm mechanic specializing in John Deere tractors and equipment; he enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include a daughter Diane (James) Atkinson of Barnwell; sons, Jerry O. (Lois) Fail of Barnwell, Kevin (Robin) Fail of Walterboro; ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Johns of Lexington; half-sisters, Elizabeth Carroll of Charleston, Helen Webb of Virginia and Carolyn Stewart of Bamberg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ted Fail.
Folk Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
