The Light of the Lamb Thrift Store opened a second location across from Wal-Mart on August 18.
According to director Allen Bodiford, the thrift store, which was started by Bethany Baptist Church, is always growing. Bodiford even has items stored at his house, which he used to stock the former Radio Shack/Computer Solutions building.
"For now we will keep both locations open," said Bodiford. "We really need more volunteers."
What is really needed volunteer wise is someone to set out items and to keep the store organized, according to Bodiford.
The new location, located at 11570 Dunbarton Boulevard, will take take everything except clothing, according to Bodiford. "I want to leave clothing to the other location."
The hours at the new location are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Eventually, there will be Saturday hours, which the other location has.
Anyone interested in volunteering at either location can call Bodiford at 803-671-4603.
