Mix, Myrick announce engagement
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen M. Mix of Beaufort are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Grace Cathryn Mix of New York City, to Major William Edwin Myrick IV, U.S. Army. Major Myrick is the son of Mrs. William Edwin Myrick III of Barnwell and the late Mr. William E Myrick III.
Miss Mix is the granddaughter of Mr. And Mrs. Joseph A. Mix of Beaufort and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee V. Landing Jr., formally of Beaufort. She is a 2008 graduate of the South Carolina Governor’s School for Arts and Humanities in Greenville and in 2012 received a B.F.A. in Acting from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Miss Mix is an actress in New York, a member of the Actor’s Equity Association and recently completed a three-week performance with the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company in Boston where she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.
Major Myrick is the grandson of Mrs. Kathleen D. Myrick of Beaufort and Mr. William E. Myrick Jr. of Walterboro, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald V. Keyes, formally of Boca Raton, Fla. He is a 2000 graduate of Barnwell High School, an ’04 graduate of The Citadel with a degree in Business and member of the ’04 Summerall Guard. He is currently serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces.
The wedding and reception are planned for October 14 at Fripp Plantation on St. Helena Island.
