Jane Hunter and Eve Hogarth, Jefferson Davis Academy's heads of school, kissed a pig before the school's homecoming game Oct. 14.
They told their students they would kiss a pig if the students raised more than $500 for the Juvenile Diabetes Association. JDA students raised almost $900.
"I think the students did such a great job," said Hunter.
Anna Felder, who has diabetes and represents the association, came from Columbia with her mother, ElizabethAnn Felder, to accept the check on the association's behalf.
