Blossom Polk
Blossom Elizabeth Bennett Polk, 90, of Barnwell, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.
Funeral service for Mrs. Polk was held at 11 a.m. Dec.27 at Dyches Funeral Home. Visitation was held one hour prior to service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Keith Richardson officiating.
Mrs. Polk was born in Ehrhardt, she was the daughter of the late George R. Bennett and Clara E. Bennett. She was married for 47 years to the late Willard H. Polk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnwell, and worked for Low Country Oil Company in Allendale. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Patsy Polk (Ronnie) Reece of Barnwell, Willard "Bill" (Diane) Polk of Ruffin, and Joyce Polk Phillips of Beaufort; six grandchildren, Lauralce Townsend of Port Royal, Dana (Jimbo) Moody of Barnwell, Beth Cody of Port Royal, Brad All of Barnwell, Penny (Bubba) Boyles of Barnwell, Randy (Robyn) Reece of Barnwell; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Barnwell Elevator Fund or a charity of one's choice.
Dyches Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of arrangements.
