Only one arrest has been made in a Jan. 5 Williston home invasion.
Steven Dana Montrell Jenkins, 23, of Country Park Manor, Barnwell, has been charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm, two counts of assault in the first degree and three counts of petit larceny, according to his arrest report.
Williston police were dispatched to a home on Elko Street shortly before 10 p.m.
Two people were in the home playing video games at the time of the invasion, a 17-year-old black male and a 14-year-old black male. Both were assaulted according to the police report, one requiring medical attention.
Two armed black males entered the home, each wearing all black with bandanas covering their faces. A third suspect entered the home later during the invasion.
Both victims were hit in the head with the butt of a rifle, according to the report.
After the tallest of the suspects hit the first victim in the head, a shot was fired from the rifle but it did not hit anyone. The same suspect then used the butt of the gun to hit the second victim.
The first victim was taken to a bedroom and told to "search for money," according to the report.
Shortly thereafter, both victims were ordered into a bathtub. The tallest suspect is said to have asked permission of another suspect to "let me kill them," according to the report.
The victims were left in the bathroom while the suspects appeared to search the home for valuables. Among the items taken from the home during the robbery were a laptop, a pistol, a PS3 gaming system, a video game and two controllers. The suspects also took the victims' cell phones.
After the suspects left the home, the two victims closed the doors to the home and ran to their own residence nearby.
A bullet hole was found by responding police officers near a front window. Police continue their search for the other two suspects.
"We are confident that there are folks out there that have (the) needed information in this case ... please don't let your silence be a factor in letting these suspects get away with this terrible crime..."stated a post on the Williston Police Department's Facebook page seeking the public's help in finding the other suspects.
