Carolyn Elizabeth Kinard Bowen, 60, formerly of Barnwell, and current resident of Graniteville, entered into eternal rest Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, after a valiant 10-year battle with breast cancer.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Jan. 9, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home followed with burial at Carolina Memorial Park.
Carolyn was born June 19, 1952, in Orangeburg. She was the daughter of the late Virgie Crider Kinard and Whildon E. Kinard of North Charleston.
Carolyn leaves behind a loving family; husband, James E. "Eddie" Bowen; three daughters, Tonja E. (Ralph) Willey of Walterboro, Suzanne E. "Sissy" (Ralph) Cooper of Goose Creek, Melissa L. (Andy) Spoon of Aiken; two stepchildren, Doyle Edward Bowen and Judy B. Justice of Shelby, N.C.; brother, James D. "Don" (Freida) Kinard of Goose Creek; sister, Phyllis A. (Dave) Carroll of Barnwell; seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and one great-grand daughter.

Carolina Memorial Funeral Home of North Charleston was in charge of arrangements.
