Funeral services for Denise Yolanda Rampey Barnett Hudson, 56, of North, were held at two p.m., Jan. 12, at Unity Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family received friends from seven to nine p.m. Jan. 11 at Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston. Memorials may be sent in Denise's memory to Unity Baptist Church, 3145 Dragstrip Road, North, S.C. 29112.
Denise passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of Guinn Whitworth Rampey and the late G. Harold Rampey. She formerly worked at Milliken in Barnwell, was a graduate of Southside High School, Greenville and was a member of Unity Baptist Church where she was the pianist.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Bruce Hudson of the home; her mother, Guinn Whitworth Rampey of Greenville; children, Genni (Lee) Williams of Orangeburg, Matt Barnett and fiancé, Frances of Colorado, Gerri Reed of West Columbia, Geoff (Laura) Barnett of Anderson, Tammi (David) Callahan of North, Brice Hudson of Georgia; brothers and sisters, Deborah (Tony) Kelley of Pickens, Donnie (Debbie) Rampey of Greenville, Louise Rampey of Pelzer, Daryl Rampey of Slabtown, Tara Hutson of Blackville, George "Billy" Rampey of Virginia, Roger Miller of Florida; ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, G. Harold Rampey; brother, David Rampey and sister-in-law, Wanda Rampey.
