Horace Eugene Googe Jr., 75, of Allendale, husband of the late Dora Mabe Googe, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013.
Mr. Googe was a native of Allendale, he was the son of the late Horace Eugene and Ruby Cling Googe Sr. He was retired from Milliken Inc. Barnwell Plant, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Mt. Arnon Baptist Church.
Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m., Jan. 20, at Mt. Arnon Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Catoe officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Arnon Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Eugene (Renee) Googe; one daughter, Carolyn Googe Broderick; two sisters, Dorothy G. (Bobby) Holland and Phyllis (Calvin) Googe; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Karen Elizabeth Googe and four sisters.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Keith Smith Funeral Service.
